Package deal likes the Ducks.

One of the cool things about calling the house of talented running back Marshawn Lynch out of Oakland Tech (Calif.) is you get to kill two birds with one stone. His cousin and fellow teammate Virdell Larkins lives with Lynch right now; here's the latest on the two standouts.

Lynch, 5-11, 195 pounds and our current No. 1 running back on the West Coast and Larkins, 5-10, 180 pounds and our No. 7 cornerback in the region are two of the nation's top recruits with offers from schools from all over. Both have a solid top five right now although each has one different school in the mix.

"We're definitely going to be a package deal," Lynch said. "We like almost all the same schools and are planning to take all of our trips together. Right now, I have Oregon, Cal, UCLA, Washington State and USC as my top five and Oregon and Cal are probably my top two."

As for Larkins:

"I have Oregon, Cal, UCLA, Washington State and Colorado as my top five," Larkins said. "All have offered me and right now, Marshawn and I are starting to look at our schedules so we can start setting up our visits. We both want to take all five of our trips before making our decision."

Both players show up very well on film and shined at the NorCal Nike Camp although Larkins was competing with a sore hamstring that caused him to miss much of the track season. Lynch was one of the top three performers we saw in the camp running a 4.40 in the 40, 4.19 in the shuttle, jumped 34 inches in the vertical and did 19 reps on the bench.

We always projected Larkins as a safety but he showed excellent cover skills at the camp and could play the corner position in the right kind of defense.
