From now on he's "Fair catch Ngata". Defensive lineman Haloti Ngata participated in the annual 'O' games, part of the University of Oregon fall football camp.
Ngata has been the focus of billboards and features in national magazines, but on Thursday he was part of the lineman punt catching drill, and most likely that will be the only punt he will catch all season long. (Photo by Marty Martindale)

Rodney Woods can't contain his excitement while waiting for his chance to play sumo soccer. Woods is a cornerback for Oregon after transferring from Fresno Junior College.
The 5'10" speedster is expected to contribute to the Ducks secondary this season -- that is if he can overcome his role as sumo soccer star. Chances are Woods will do significantly better on the field at Autzen Stadium in Defensive Coordinator Nick Alitotti's defensive schemes. (Photo by Marty Martindale)

Ryan Gilliam seemingly cries as he is assisted out of a sumo soccer outfit.
Gilliam was a 4-Star rated defensive back out of Tallahassee, Florida and has said that he loves Oregon and all of the new people he has met. Hopefully, after participating in the sumo soccer game, part of the annual 'O" games held every year during fall camp, Gilliam will still have that warm feeling. Perhaps on second thought what Ryan is saying, "this is for the Ducks!" (Photo by Marty Martindale)

Dante Rosario, (44, white) leads the offense to a hard fought victory over the defense in the tug of war.
A year ago, Rosario was heading into his senior year at Dayton (Ore.) HS and may well have been the best athlete in the state Oregon. He led Dayton to a 2A championship in football and basketball. This year, he is an incoming freshman and will be a fullback.
Oregon opens the regular season on August 30th when they travel to Starkville, Mississippi to take on Mississippi State. Kickoff for the contest is scheduled for 6 p.m. PDT. (Photo by Marty Martindale)

Jason Fife (12) blasts out ahead of Keith Lewis (16) in the tricycle relay. Of course Keith was yelling that his handlebars were broken.
Fife is in a fierce competition for the starting quarterback spot with fellow signal caller Kellen Clemens. Coach Mike Bellotti has hoped for a spirited effort between his two quarterbacks and judging by the effort Jason put in the trike races -- watch out world, here comes Jason!
