Torn ACL ends Devon Allen's season.

The Oregonian is reporting that a source confirmed an earlier internet report that Oregon wide receiver suffered an ACL injury to his knee in Oregon's loss to Nebraska on Satruday and will lost for the season. This is the second ACL injury Allen has suffered in the last three years.

The Oregonian's Andrew Greif reported that the injury which was suffered ona special teams play was initially feared to be an ACL tear which was non-contact in nature.

Allen finished fifth in the Rio Olympics last month before returning to Eugene and rejoining the team. His best game was against Virginia in which he had four catches for 141 yards including one catch that covered 75 yards resulting in a touchdown.

The Oregon Athletic Department has not commented on the report.
