Colorado having its way with a lost and confused Oregon defense.

EUGENE, ORE. – Colorado, behind backup quarterback Steven Montez racked up 351 total yards in the first half to take a 26-17 lead into the locker room. Montez threw for 217 yards on 17-of-20 passing and one touchdown. The Buffaloes also had 134 yards rushing against a porous and sometimes confused Oregon defense.

Montez his Shay Fields for seven yards for the sole Colorado passing touchdown of the half. The Buffs also scored on two 1-yard rushing TDs, one by Phillip Lindsey and the other by Montez.

Place kicker Chris Graham completed Colorado’s scoring with two field goals of 24 and 33 yards.

Oregon scored on 1-yard run by Taj Griffin and a 25-yard hook-up between quarterback Dakota Prukop and Darren Carrington. Aidan Schneider kicked a 41-yard field goal to complete the Oregon scoring.

Oregon was only able to accumulate 218 yards of total offense in the first half.

Colorado will receive the ball after the kickoff to start the third quarter.
