Oregon over ASU at halftime

EUGENE, ORE. – A revitalized Oregon Ducks team came out and took a 30-14 lead at the half behind freshman quarterback Justin Herbert’s three touchdowns and 320 yards on 20-of-24 passing. Bolstered by Herbert’s performance, the Oregon defense toughened up to hold Arizona State to 14 points.

Herbert spread the ball around but found Pharaoh Brown seven times for 129 yards and two touchdowns including one score covering 72 yards. Brown’s second touchdown was just before the end of the half when he caught a 4-yards TD pass. Charles Nelson had a 36-yard TD reception among his three passes covering 43 yards.

Aidan Schneider has kicked three field goals of 36, 37 and 30 yards.

For the game, Oregon has amassed 413 yards of total offense to ASU’s 195.

Oregon will receive the ball when the third quarter starts.
