Freshman quarterback Justin Herbert Named Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week

Oregon freshman quarterback Justin Herbert was honored today by the Pac-12 Conference when he was named Offensive Player of the Week for his performancve against Arizona State on Saturday.

Herbert threw for a school tying record of 489 yards and four touchdowns in Oregon's 54-35 win on Saturday night.

The freshman also became the first player in Duck history to go over the 500 yard mark in total offense in a single game, besides the 489 yards of passing he also rushed for 23 net yards for a total of 512 yards.

Herbert is the second player this year to be honored by the conference. After week one, Troy Dye was named Defensive Player of the Week. Dye is also a freshman.
