Herbert is 1-3 so far in his career as a starter and has thrown for 1,158 yards and 13 touchdowns. His best game was against Arizona State when he tied a school record by throwing for 489 yards and four touchdowns. His performance against ASU earned him Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week honors, however last week against USC, his statistics were much different.
Against USC, Herbert was 18-for-33, 162 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He was taken out in the fourth quarter and back up Dakota Prukop led the Ducks on a seven play, 72-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown when Prukop made a spectacular play to score. Herbert had difficulties all day with the talented USC defense and was sacked three times.
This week, the young signal caller is hoping to reaquire the touch that seemed so natural against ASU.
Herbert answered media questions following practice on Wednesday moring.
