Popo Aumavae commits to Oregon

The Oregon Ducks added another defensive lineman to its 2017 recruiting class on Sunday when 4-star defensive tackle Popo Aumavae verbally committed on a message on Twitter. Aumavae is 6-3, 300 from Saint Mary's High School, Stockton, Calif.

"I am excited and blessed to announce that I am committed to the University of Oregon," wrote Aumavae in a Twitter message. "Go Ducks!"

Aumavae is the No. 2 ranked defensive tackle in the state of California and is the sixth best DT in the West.

He selected Oregon while on his official visit this weeked to the Eugene campus, picking Oregeon over offers from all the other Pac-12 schools except Stanford. In all Aumavae had 21 offers from programs around the country.

With his commitment, the Ducks now have a total 15 commitments.
