A new name popped up in Oregon's recruiting and now has a visit set up.

In the last two weeks lots of recruiting activity has been stirred up with the hire of Head Coach Willie Taggart and one of the names now on the Oregon radar is DE Demarco Artis, 6-3, 220, Seminole HS, Sanford, Fla. Artis tells eDuck.com that he has plans to visit Oregon.

Artis, has given a commitment to Flordia State, however since he was offered a scholarship by Taggart that he is "very interested in Oregon."

So how interested is he in Oregon?

Interested enough to schedule a visit to begin on January 20, 2017.

Who from the Ducks has Artis spoken to?

"Coach (David) Kelly, Coach (Jim) Leavitt and Coach Taggart," responded Artis. "We just talked again yesterday (12/18/16)."

Artis is a versitile player and can do a number of different things on the football field.

"Most see me as a 3-4 hybrid (or) 4-3 DE that can drop back or rush the passer," replied Artis to the question of what best describes his play. "Whatever i can benefit the team the most."

While Scout.com list Artis as a verbal to FSU, Artis says his top teams now are Baylor, Oregon and FSU.
