Dorian Thompson-Robinson

Have you had any contact with the new Oregon Duck coaching staff?

DTR: Coach Taggart is the one that offered me.

Congrats, was that recent?

DTR: Thanks and last month I think.

Do you plan on taking an official visit to Eugene? If yes, do you have a set date?

DTR: I have no clue on any visit or anything right now.

I did a story on you teammate Brevin Jordan, good dude!

DTR: Yeah that's my guy.

Brevin said you guys may want to go to the same school is that the plan?

DTR: We would definitely love to and we pretty much have the same interests in terms of schools, but we're going to end up doing what's best for one another not the both of us.

Congrats on the invite to the Opening camp, when does that happen?

DTR: I got invited to the regional, I'm looking to go to the one in LA but I don't know the date on it.

Have you done these types of events before? If so, what do you like about them?

DTR: Yeah I did the LA regional last year. I'm a competitive junky, so I just like to hang around competition and compete with the best wherever. That's part of the reason I stayed at Gorman.

Those camps bring a lot of good guys out to one spot to work against one another.

DTR: Most definitely.

Oregon had a pretty good QB who didn't start until his senior season, do you have a good relationship with Tate (Martell), and what did you learn from him? How excited are you for the new season, how does your team look?

DTR: Me and Tate have a great relationship! I really just learn how to compete on a daily basis and in anything I do from him. I'm stoked about my senior season and this team looks like we could ring in that 4th national championship!

Very nice, who did you have in last night’s  National Championship game?

DTR: Alabama lol.

What a game! Growing up did you look up to a certain QB, and do you pattern your game after anyone?

DTR: Terrelle Pryor and Braxton Miller. I was big OSU fan growing up.

How many offers do you currently have? Who was the last to offer?

DTR: 19. UNC on Christmas.

How interested in Oregon are you?  Players seem to really love Coach Taggart, what can you tell me about him?

DTR: I'm highly interested in Oregon mainly because of Coach Taggart. He seems like a player’s coach like someone you can relate to.

Did he recruit you while he was at USF?

DTR: Nope.

Has he talked any specifics about his offense and how he sees you fitting into it; or more just general getting to know each other?

DTR: No specifics just that he would calling the plays and he thinks I can be that guy that can turn the program back around with him.

Is there a group of schools you’re focusing your attention on, or are you pretty open at this time? Do you want to enroll early?

DTR: I do but I don't want to give out that information just yet. and I won't be enrolling early.

Do you play any other sports? What do you do for fun or to relax?

DTR: No, and lie down or hang out with my girlfriend.

Pretend you didn't play football, what would your dream profession be and why?

DTR: I want to study in dentistry to be a dentist.
