Bookie Radley-Hiles visited Eugene in the eighth grade.

Bookie Radley-Hiles, 5-10, 175 played his junior year of football at Calabasas HS, in Calabasas, California, but will transfer to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida for his senior season. He is being recruited by Oregon and has been on the Eugene campus before -- as an eighth grader. Here is a transcript of our conversation with Radley-Hiles.

BRH: Thank you.

Do you go by Bookie or Brendan?

BRH: I go by Bookie Radley-Hiles, either is fine though Sir.

What coach(s) did you get to talk with? Who extended the offer?

BRH: The Head Coach, Coach Tag (Willie Taggart).

How interested in Oregon are you?

BRH: Was there my eighth grade year. I'm very interested.

What is it about the Ducks that you like?

BRH: I like the Ducks because of the way they use their DB's.

What did you and Coach T talk about?

BRH: We talked about my recent IMG transfer, and my interest in the University of Oregon.

So you transferred HS this year? Was there a main reason? Big move from California to Florida!

BRH: Family and personal reasons.

How many offers do you currently have; any favorites?

BRH: I've been blessed with 28 currently. No favorites.

Do you have any visits set? If, so who?

BRH: I will be taking a few visits none have been confirmed.

What your current height and weight? What position do you want to play at in college?

BRH: 5-10, 183, cornerback and (or) safety.

Do you have a college or pro players you pattern your game after or look up to?

BRH: I would say Teez Tabor or Iman Marshall

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?

BRH: Hangout with my friends and plot out our dreams. Then we go get them; typical fun for me I guess.

Have you been to Eugene since 8th grade?


Will that distance be a big factor for you and your family when picking a school?

BRH: No it won't play a factor at all in my decision.
