After being listed as a "soft" verbal, Jaylon Redd is now all Duck.'s Greg Biggins confirmed that versatile athlete Jaylon Redd has confirmed his commitment to Oregon. Redd, a 4-star cornerback as rated by initially committed to the Ducks back in September, but his status was changed by Scout from a solid verbal commitment to "soft" verbal when Redd began taking official visits to other schools.

Redd, 5-9, 160 from Rancho Cucamonga HS, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., took his official visit to Oregon on Nov 12, but also took official visits to Mississippi on Sept. 3, Arizona State on Jan. 20 then to Mississippi State on Jan. 27.

Biggins has described Redd as a fiery competitor and able to play on either offense or defense.

Once the confirmation was made that Redd was indeed going to Oregon his status changed from a "soft" verbal to a verbal.

Redd is expected to send a Letter of Intent to the Ducks tomorrow, Feb. 1, the first day on the NCAA calander that recruits can officially commit to schools.
