Moore was the answer to a big problem for the Ducks - A big time offensive lineman.

The Oregon Ducks needed help on the offensive line, so what did the new Oregon coach staff do? They went out and recruited the best Junior College lineman in the country and arguably the best offensive lineman in the 2017 recruiting class -- George Moore from College of San Mateo. Originally from San Marcos, Calif., he was overlooked by football programs because he only played football during his senior year at San Marcos High -- he was a basketball player. After one year of playing at San Mateo

George Moore

Congrats on being a Duck!

Thank you.

Coming out of High School, were you highly recruited?

No I was not, I went to Deer Valley High School, and only started playing football my senior year, I was really a hooper.

Some Duck fan compare you to Kyle Long as having similar frame, who was a JC transfer (played baseball), before coming to Oregon. Curious did you talk with any JC guys about what they look for when transferring from a JC to a Division I school?

No, I knew what I wanted in a program.

What were the key factors when picking a school?

First, me playing! Secondly, a great coach that will take time with a player and work with the players on everything to help them get to the next level in life.

Who was the main coach that recruited you from Oregon?

Both Head Coach (Willie Taggart) and Coach (Mario) Cristobal (were the recruiters).

What did they discuss with you?

That I am what they need up front, and I just trusted them; I feel what I need in a coach they both have with guidance and football.

Duck fans are super excited to have you be a Duck, do you have a message for them?

Duck fan I am coming home! I can't wait to be there and let's win together baby!

Love it George! Thanks for your time.
