Sucks improve to 23-4 for the season and 12-2 in conference play.

Dana Altman talks about Oregon's 79-61 win over Utah. The Ducks are now 23-4 for the season and 12-2 in conference play. Also included are post-game quotes from Utah coach Larry Krystkowiak.

 Dana Altman, Head Coach
On what went well tonight:
"I thought defensively our activity was pretty good for the most part. We did hold them to 38 percent (from the field), and if you take the put-backs off, that then we really did play well defensively but those 19 second chance points kind of takes all your effort defensively off the board. I thought that those 18 assists were pretty good, we had too many turnovers and we got sloppy but all-in-all I thought it was a good win."

On rebounding:
"That was a big disappointment. They beat us 19 to three on second-chance points, and usually with numbers like that you don't win the game, and with the two best offensive rebounding teams in the league in Colorado and Cal coming up, it's a very disappointing stat."

On the quick start:
"We had some inside-outside movement, hit some threes and had some pretty good looks, but again our defense got some things going a little with our activity and the blocked shots kind of threw them off, so that was a pretty good half for us."

Larry Krystkowiak, Utah Head Coach
On the game:
"There always seems to be a weak link at some point. I'm still aspiring to get things going a little bit. I don't want to let this game break us down and demoralize us because we have a lot of respect for that team. We just need to keep battling. Hopefully we start to click a little bit more offensively, though."

On the first half:
"I'm not going to judge our slow starts on playing Oregon on the road. We didn't feel like we started slow. I don't feel like we beat ourselves. I can swallow what happened; I don't feel like we got beat. There are times when I walk into the locker room after a win and I don't feel good. There are times that we lose a game like this, that I don't really have a problem with. They are a tremendous team; they made a lot of great shots and they got us in a lot of facets of the game. We weren't able to guard at the point of attack on the bounce. We gave up a lot of dribble pass penetration. When we got some open looks, they're blocking 10 shots. There are a lot of different things that go into it; I'm not going to say we started slow or anything like that, I felt good about it. It's a little counterintuitive to say you feel good about a loss, but I thought we had some growth tonight."
