3-star CB Jaylon Reed

To say Jaylon Reed a corner back from Olive Branch High School, Olive Branch, Miss., was surprised by an offer from Oregon, is an understatement. Reed, was offered on Wednesday and here is what he had to say about his recruitment.

 Jaylon Reed

Congrats on Ducks Offer.

JR: Thank you!!

Did you just get it? Which Coach(s) have you been talking with? Was it a surprise?

JR: Just got it 10 minutes ago, Coach Clark LEFT ME SPEECHLESS. Oregon a school everyone from the South watches. Just never get the opportunity, now I have it ... I almost cried.

Nice, what did he discuss with you?

JR: I am speechless still.

How much interest do you have in Oregon?

JR: What is the max on interest because I am at 1000%. I just have to make the trip now; Coach Clark and I are going to start face timing to form our bond.

So how many offers do you currently have?

JR: I have 14 now.

How big of a factor will distance be for you and your family when picking a school?

JR: Distance is not a factor for me; my mom wants what is best for me.

Are you working on trying to set a visit?

JR: Yes sir, we will work on setting up a visit soon.

Besides the Ducks are there any other teams that you have high interest in.

JR: Nah, no other school has excited me this much yet.

As far as measurable, what is your current height/weight/bench/squat/ and forty time?

JR: Measured as 6-2, 175.

Was you mom as excited as you were with the offer? How did you tell her?

JR: We were actually attending our girl state championship tournament and when I told her coach wanted to talk to her she got the phone without any knowledge. My mama screamed! Then just looked at me and told me she is proud of me.

That is great! Do you have plans for spring/summer in regards to camps or visits?

JR: I do not know where I will be headed this spring and summer, but I do know I am coming to Oregon for a visit.

Awesome, thanks for your time, again congrats on offer, great job!

JR: Thank you.
