OL Jaren Kump

Jaren Kump, 6-6, 245, Harriman High School, Herriman, Utah is an offensive lineman that committed to BYU back in July of 2016. However, he has been talking to Oregon and likely take a visit to Eugene. Here is what Kump had to say about his status.

Congrats on the Ducks offer, when did you get the Oregon offer? Which coach(s) have you been talking with?

JK: Thank you, I talked with the Offensive Line Coach, Coach Cristobal, and Coach Woodie last night! (3/13/17). He didn’t want me to say anything until the morning; he wanted to let my Coach know first out of respect.

How much interest do you have in the Ducks? What did Coach Cristobal discuss with you?

JK: Yes, I am interested in Oregon. He discussed my interests for after graduation, and stuff.

What interest you about the Ducks? What would you like to learn more about the program?

JK: Their football program is what interests me; I am excited to learn more about the academic side of Oregon.

How many offers do you have? Any leaders of that group? Maybe a school you would like to hear more from?

JK: Four offers, I am committed to BYU.

Do you think you will use one of your five official visits to Eugene?

JK: I think I will as of now.

Do you play any other sports?

JK: I play basketball, and I throw shot put and discus!

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?

JK: I love fishing and hanging out with my buds!

If you did not play football, what would be your dream profession?

JK: I want to be an orthopedic surgeon.

Nice, what has you interested in medicine?

JK: I just love science and I want to help people.
