Congrats on Ducks offer, when did you get the offer, which coach(s) extended the offer?
JJ: Thank you. I got it yesterday (3/15/17), David Kelly and Coach (Michael) Johnson are the ones that I talked to and they told me that they were going to offer me.
How much interest in the Ducks do you have?
JJ; I am pretty interested, you guys have Darrian Felix who is from the same area as me and it's pretty exciting to have a chance to play with him at the next level. I met with Coach Taggart while he was at USF, and he seemed to be a cool person. I am glad he did not forget about me.
Have you been to the West Coast/Oregon before? Will distance be a factor for you and your family?
JJ: I have not been to Oregon or West Coast. Distance will have some impact on my decision, but it is not that big of a deal for me, but my mom would probably have a problem with the distance.
Your mom is the volleyball coach at your High School?
JJ: Yes sir, she coaches volleyball.
Is that a good or bad thing to have mom on campus?
JJ: It’s a little of both, but it is good because she makes sure I am on top of everything.
How many current offers do you have? Any schools standing out? Do you have an idea of which schools will get one of your five official visits?
JJ: (21) Not any favorites yet, and no sir, no official visits set.
Do you think you will visit Eugene?
JJ: I think so. My mom and I are going to try to get out during the summer.
Listed as an Athlete, to me you look like a WR at the college level, how do you feel? What are coach's saying?
JJ: Coaches either project me as a DB (defensive back) or WR (wide receiver).
What your current Height/Weight/Bench/Squat/Forty
JJ: 6-1.5, 175, 225, 375, and 4.6.
When you and your family look at school what are the major factors?
JJ: How I will fit in the offense, location, academic programs. Not necessarily in that order.
Do you play any other sports?
JJ: I play baseball and basketball also.
Away from sports, what do you do for fun?
JJ: I usually hangout with friends or play PS4.
Thanks for the update, have a great day, enjoy March Madness!
JJ: Ok, you too, thank you!
