UCONN Women headed to 10th straight Final Four

The Oregon Women's Basketball Team's dreams for a NCAA Championship was dashed today by No. 1 Connecticut, 90-52 in a the Elite-8 game held in Bridgeport on Monday evening. The powerful Huskies used a barrage of 3-point shots in the first half to quickly dispatched Oregon, even through the youthful Duck squad battled courageously.

Oregon shot 42.3 percent for the game on 22-of-52 shooting including making 5-of-10 three-point shots.

Sabrina Ionescu was Oregon's leading scorer with 15 while Ruthy Hebard had 12. 

Meanwhile, UConn shot 54.5 percent on 36-of-66 shooting including making 7-of-9 three's. The Huskies had four players in double-figure scoring led by Napheesa Collier's 28 points, followed by Gabby Williams with 25. Saniya Chong and Kia Nurse both had 11 each.

The Ducks end the season with a record of 23-14 and the admiration of many Oregonians who now have become fans.
