Oregon starts spring practice by getting to know each other.

The first day of spring workouts saw the Oregon Ducks assemble in position groups and as the custom in football on the first day of practice, the team ran drills. Just prior to the start of practice on Wednesday, quarterback Justin Herbert spoke to media about the off-season and how the team is acclimating to the new Oregon coaching staff.

Herbert, following the interview session went onto the Kilkenny Practice Field along with four other quarterbacks, Travis JonsenTerry Wilson, Taylor Alie, and Braxton Burmeister for more drills working on footwork.

During the 30 minutes that media was allowed on the practice field, eDuck.com observed the offense (we'll concentrate on defense on Friday.)

During the Head Coach Willie Taggart's media conference on Tuesday, the coach said that spring practice will be a chance for the team and coaches to get to know each other on the practice field. One of the things that Taggart emphasized was conditioning and certainly it was evident today as the players hustled and ran from one station to another.

The spirit seemed high and it was a welcome relief to finally see the Ducks in action after having had a media blackout over the last few years.

More video of specific offensive position groups will follow today here on eDuck.com
