4-star OL Dawson Jaramillo commits to Oregon

The Oregon Ducks held its annual Spring Football game on Saturday and in attendance was the newest commitment to the 2018 recruiting class, Dawson Jaramillo, Lake Oswego High School, Lake Oswego, Oregon. Jaramillo announced his commitment via twitter on Saturday afternoon.

"I am an Oregon Duck," tweeted Jaramillo. "Always have been, always will be."

Jaramillo is the second prospect to commit to Oregon for the 2018 class and was part of the largest group of non-official visitor to ever visit the Eugene campus on a single occasion.

Ranked No. 27 nationally as an offensive tackle, Jaramillo is the No. 5 OT in the West.

Standing 6-6 and weighing 285 pounds, he establishes the Duck recruiting power in the west and particularly in the state of Oregon.

In a statement on Twitter, Jaramillo indicated that while he had the opportunity to travel around the country to visit other programs and meet some "amazing people" the fact is that he grew up in Oregon and had always dreamed to playing at Oregon.

Jaramillo picked Oregon over eight other Pac-12 programs including Washington, UCLA and Oregon State.
