Mountain West Player of the Year will help restore Oregon's punch for Dana Altman.

The Mountain West Player of the Year in 2016-17 was shooting guard Elijah Brown, son of Interim Head Coach of the Golden State Warriors Michael Brown, has announced via Twitter that he is transferring to Oregon for his final year of eligibility.

Elijah Brown simply said "Quack" in his tweet on Monday indicating the transfer. Brown is a terrific scorer carrying a 18.8 ppg average last season. His transfer will soften the loss of Tyler DorseyDillon Brooks and Jordan Bell, all of whom have declared for the NBA draft.

Brown's addition will give the Ducks scoring punch on a roster that lost nearly all the active players from the 2016-17 season that made it to the Final Four before succumbing to eventual National Champion North Carolina, 76-75.

The Ducks only return point guard Payton Pritchard, Keith Smith and Roman Sorkin as players that saw minutes in game last year. Oregon currently has four players coming from the high school ranks including Troy BrownKenny WootenAbu Kigab and V.J. Bailey. The Ducks also have M.J. Cage who redshirted last year and Paul White, who sat out following his transfer from Georgetown.
