Keyon Ware-Hudson

2019 4-star DE Keyon Ware-Hudson

2019 DE Keyon Ware-Hudson visited Oregon for the Spring Game on April 28. We caught up with Ware-Hudson and talked about his visit, his recruitment and when he might make a decision on where he will attend college.

Hello Keyon, how was the visit to Eugene for Ducks Spring game?

KWH: The visit was outstanding, it could not have been better. I loved the weather out there, nice and cool, the facilities are crazy, and there was just so much stuff. The game was great, loved the fans, and the nice stadium they have.

What did you think of city/campus?

KWH: The city was sort of quiet and less distractions because there was nothing around, but that is what’s great. You do not have to worry a whole lot, and the campus was unreal! I loved it right when I stepped on it.

Did you get to connect with any recruits or Duck players?

KWH: Yes I did, there was some were I met from other camps, and a couple of my good friends went, Ben Colman at Linfield high school and Jeremiah Criddell Rancho Cucamonga high school. Thomas Graham is a good friend also.

Thomas looks good; did you get to talk with him at all, how has his first few month been in Eugene?

KWH: I have not talked to him about that out there.

Do you want to enroll early?

KWH: Yes sir, I want to enroll early, so I can be wherever I end up at for spring practice and game.

Wild recruiting weekend for the Ducks, did you get to witness any of the recruits give their verbal commitment? If so, what was that like?

KWH: Yes, I was in the team meeting room at the time when they verbally committed, but it was new to me so when I heard it, I was like dang, it's like that. All the coaches got excited, and started screaming, it was cool, fun to be going through all of this process.

What did your family think of Eugene?

KWH: They loved out there as well, Coach Joe took really care of us once we arrived, the entire coaching staff was great to us.

Did you consider committing? Do you have a recruiting time frame? Any schools standing out?

KWH: No, I did not consider committing, its way to early in this process for me to commit. I am going to wait it out and see which school stands out for me. I am probably going to commit after my junior season in the summer possible. No school is on the top of my list right now, I see them all the equal at this point.

Sounds good, do you have any plans for the summer?

KWH: I tore my ACL about a month ago so going to be rehabbing the whole summer very seriously. I get surgery this month, and can start rehab 3 days after my surgery.

How did that happen?

KWH: I was playing TE at one of my schools practice, and then I ran a dig rout then I planted wrong.

Oh man, sorry to hear that.

KWH: Thanks.

Thanks for update, here is hoping to a speedy recover, Have a great weekend!

KWH: Okay, thank you.
