Congrats on the Ducks offer, which coach did you talk with?
GT: I talked with Coach Arroyo last night.
What did he have to say? Did he recruit you while he was at Oklahoma State?
GT: He said I fit really well in the offense, and like what I create with my feet. That I have a nice clean release, and the ball comes out smooth. No sir, he did not recruit me while at OSU.
How much interest in the Ducks do you have?
GT: A lot, because that was my favorite school growing up, so when he told me I had an offer I was super excited.
As a kid, what made the Ducks your favorite school?
GT: Just the way they run their offense. How fast it was, efficient, and how clean they look every time they touched the field.
How many offers do you have?
GT: I have eight now.
Do you have any plans for summer in regards to camps/visits?
GT: My parents and I are trying to get camp plans together this summer to see what school we are going to hit.
What are some thing important for you, and your family when looking at schools?
GT: They have to have great academics, and I like a college that had that family vibe to it. I want to feel at home when I go that college. We just want a place that helps me grow as a player, and as a person.
Perfect, what is your current height and weight?
GT: I'm 6-1 and 205.
What is one part of your game you would really like to work on over the summer?
GT: The things I want to work on is decision making, and my footwork. If I'm able to identify the defense faster, and process faster, I can get the ball out quicker. Also my foot work, because if my feet are good, my ball comes out smooth. Those are the two things I'm going to work on.
In regards to decision making, how do you work on that in the off season?
GT: After morning workouts, I'll going back to my school, and sit down with my coach and we will go through different coverages and plays. Then he will ask me what will you do if it's cover 2 with a certain play. Just stuff to get my brain thinking and get into game situations.
Do you consider yourself a film junkie.
GT: Yes, because when you watch film the game will slow down for you on the field. So I take pride in knowing what I am doing while on the field. I like to react to what I'm doing on the field, If you think while you play QB you end up throwing picks. That how I think.
I agree, when did you start playing football, and what got you interested?
GT: I started living football at a very young age. My dad made hold a football very young, and I have loved it ever since. I just love how competitive it was. I hate losing more than I like winning so that's probably what drew it for me.
Do you have a favorite Duck QB? Darron Thomas was a Texas kid that had great success at Oregon.
GT: Yea, I like Darren Thomas and Marcus Mariota. In my opinion the two best QB in Oregon history.
Do you have a favorite Pro QB you like to watch?
GT: My favorite QB actually just got drafted to the Texans, Deshaun Watson.
I think he will do very good for Texans, he is a winner! Do you play other sports? When you're not playing sports what do you like to do for fun or to relax?
GT: Yes, in my opinion that the most important stat for a QB is wins. When I'm not play football I'm a very chill person. I like to play video games, and sleep. I run track to stay in shape, and get my speed up.
Can you cook, what your specialty if so?
GT: (Laughs) no I can't, I need to learn for my mom she's an amazing cook.
If you could have dinner with three people alive or dead, who would you pick?
GT: I would take my mom, dad, and my grandmother because they have done a lot for me in my life, and it would be great to spoil them for a night.
What your favorite holiday, and why?
GT: Favorite holiday is Christmas because it's a great time to spend with family and open presents (laughs).
Thanks for taking the time to update eDuck fans.
GT: Thanks for taking the time out to interview me.
