OLB Jaden Navarrette

Jaden Navarrette, is a 2020 outside linebacker from Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., and received a verbal offer from the Oregon Ducks on Friday (May 12, 2017). We spoke to Navarrette about his offer and his recruitment today and here is what he had to say.

Congrats on Ducks offer! Which coach extended the offer?

JN: Thank you, I just talked with Coach Johnson (5/12/17), I'm very excited, it means a lot to me.

How much interest in the Ducks do you have?

JN: I am very interested in the Ducks.   

What did you and coach talk about?

JN: We just talked about me, he wants me to keep working and doing what I need to do to get better. He talked about how they are really trying to build the program, and he would like me to come up and take a visit.

How many offers do you have, have you been to Eugene before?

JN: I have four offers; I think Arizona State close to offering too and no I have not been there. Is it nice out there?

I think it’s beautiful. Very nice on the offers, what your current height/weight?

JN: Thank you, appreciate it, I am currently 6-3, 203.

Do you have any plans for summer camps/visits?

JN: Yeah, I would like to visit a couple colleges, and go to a couple camps, maybe USC and UCLA camp.

Tell me about your game, what are your strengths, what do you want to work on over the summer?

JN: I would like to work on getting bigger, stronger, and my speed. I would also like to work on my feet, getting off the line better.

Your class of 2020 correct? What weight would you like to be for the start of your sophomore. season?

JN: I would like to be at least 210 lbs., and yes, I am class of 2020.

What do you like to do for fun or to relax?

JN: I like spend time with cousins, watch a little bit of TV, and go on me phone, and play a little bit of football.

What your perfect pizza toppings?

JN: My perfect pizza toppings is bacon beef and pepperonis.

What's your favorite Holiday and why?

JN: My favorite holiday is Christmas because I get to spend time with my family, and we get to make a lot of memories.

If you could have dinner with three people, alive or dead, who would you pick?

JN: Three people I would eat dinner with and have a conversation with, my great aunt, Amari Cooper, and God.

If you don't play pro football, what is your dream profession?

JN: If I don't play pro football I would like to have my own facility, and give back to the youth.
