 Jake Peters

Congrats on the Hawaii offer, have you happen to have any contact with the Oregon staff?

JP: Yes, I have talked with Coach Cristobal, and tight ends (Graduate Assistant) Coach Gilbertson.

What did Coach Cristobal discuss with you?

JP: Just checking in with me a lot.

How much interest in the Ducks do you have? Do you feel like they are close to an offer?

JP: I have a lot of interest. Not sure where my recruiting is going after getting this last offer. Hoping for the best.

You injured your Achilles last season, how is recovery going?

JP: Yes, I had surgery last June. I am back to 100%, and feeling good.

Great to hear! Were you teammates with TE Grant Calcaterra? I know the new staff really liked him and offered.

JP: Yes, Calc is one of my good friends.

You attended Oregon junior day correct? Was that your first time to visit Eugene?

JP: Yes, I did, my sister goes to U of O and so I have been there a few times.

What year is your sister? Does she play any sports?

JP: She is a sophomore. She had offers to play at smaller schools, but fell in love with Oregon campus.

Do you have any plans for summer in regards to camps or visits?

JP: Probable no camps after getting hurt at one last year. Not sure about visits yet.

You got hurt at a camp, is that is how you hurt your Achilles? What happen?

JP: Kid was holding me on a route and stomped the back of my Achilles and calf. Had surgery a week later.

What your current height/weight?

JP: I weigh 235, and am 6-5.

Do you play any other sports?

JP: Yes, I play basketball.

What do you like to do for fun or to relax away from sports?

JP: I love surfing, and am always at the beach. It will be tough to leave Cali but if I find a school I love, I have no problem leaving.

Thanks for the update!
