Three-headed monster

Amazing Calif WR Cameron Colvin continues to deny he has secretly decided between his final three of Oregon, USC and Michigan.

"Everybody is pretty even," says Colvin, from the unbeatable Concord De La Salle program. "But if I had to say, I guess Oregon would have just a slight edge right now. I'd probably feel the most comfortable there because three of my team-mates are already going there (DB Willie Glasper, SS/LB Terrance Kelly and DB/RB Jackie Bates). Jackie is the one I'm the closest to.

"But going to college is an individual thing. So I won't be going to a school because they are.

"I also like Michigan because overall, they have a great sports program and are a very prestigious school with good academics too.

"USC is a powerhouse that is close to home and they have a great coaching staff.

"I was supposed to visit Florida State this weekend but I canceled. It was just too far away. "I'm waiting for my last in-home visit from the USC coaches. They'll be here tomorrow (Saturday). Coaches (Pete) Carroll, (Norm) Chow, (Tim) Davis and (Lane) Kiffin are coming.

"Then, I'll sit down and make a plus-minus list and decide. I should decide this weekend. If it's in favor of SC, I'll tell them when they are here probably.

"But if I commit anywhere this weekend, I won't say anything until Letter of Intent Day. I'll just tell the coaches. I don't have any type of announcement planned.

"I'm not affected by any of the other wide receivers who have committed to any of the schools. I think I'm better than all of them. We'll all have to beat out people wherever we go and I'm a real competitor."

"My parents don't have and real preference. They are leaving it up to me.

"I just got a 17 on my ACT and an 860 on my SAT. My GPA is about a 2.6 now, so I'm qualified."
