Even on the sidelines, he draws attention.

Damo Suh watched all the activity of the Nike Camp in Eugene, Oregon on Saturday, June 19, 2004, and one could tell he would like to have been participating. However, the 6-5, 265-pound defensive tackle from Portland (Ore.) Grant HS, has been going football camps for the last few months and has hoops on his mind too.

"I was measured (height and weight) this morning," said Damo of the Nike camp. "But no drills."

Ndamukong Suh hasn't been ignoring football, in fact he was a regular camper at the Air Attack Lineman Camp earlier this spring. The coaches at Air Attack continually raved about Suh.

"He's has the kind of body you see in the SEC," said Air Attack founder Greg Barton. "Just watch, he's a national recruit."

The big man from Portland is most certainly a hot commodity. He has offers from a slew of schools and though he is reluctant to name any favorite program, he did mention Nebraska, Cal, UCLA, Oregon and Oregon State as his top-5. All have offered him a scholarship.

Damo is also a basketball player and is playing with Grant's summer league. He also plans to play basketball with ICP, an AAU team, later this summer.

Even if he didn't run one drill, Suh drew lots of attention from the writers at the camp as Damo's reputation preceded him. No doubt he'll continue to draw attention from many football programs as the season nears.
