Return of the Hawaiian Connection

The #2 Oregon Ducks have received a verbal commitment from All-State offensive lineman Enoka Lucas. He is also a high school teammate of Brandon Ala, so naturally Duck fans are wondering about a package deal for this talented duo.

Enoka, who is a load at 6-4, 290, 5.1 told the Honolulu Advertiser that he will play either the center or guard position once he graduates from Kamehameha High School and moves on to Oregon. Ironically, the only other visit that Lucas has taken was to Colorado, the Ducks opponent in the Fiesta Bowl and he has canceled a scheduled trip to Wisconsin. Enoka has also turned down offers from Utah, Washington State and San Diego State. Lucas said that the Duck's convincing Fiesta Bowl victory over Colorado and the Oregon team's close family atmosphere helped him make a final decision. So can Kamehameha teammate Brandon Ala be far behind? Ala, a highly touted defensive end prospect has already visited Eugene and is said to be choosing between Oregon and Washington. With Mike Bellotti scheduled to visit both players in Hawaii next week, it may not take too long to find out if it will be a Oregon sweep.
