Tucker Callahan - headed west

Oregon defensive backs coach John Neal must be looking up some old contacts in the Alabama. The former University of Alabama, Birmingham assistant found a player out on the Gulf Coast region, along Mobile Bay. Tucker Callahan, seemingly came out of nowhere to select Oregon as his future.

"He committed to Oregon," said Mark Callahan, Tucker's father.

The senior Callahan indicated that Tucker chose Oregon over UAB (offer), Alabama, Auburn and West Virginia.

"Alabama is close to offering," indicated Mark Callahan.

Mark Callahan also mentioned that while he has been to California on a couple of occasions on business trips, he has yet to visit the Northwest but he's looking forward to seeing Eugene. Probably as much as Duck fans are anxious to meet Tucker Callahan.

Football sources describe Tucker as a growing body who has speed. Considering his 3.3 core GPA he is also a good student.
