U.S. Army All-American Selectee Visits Oregon

The Oregon Ducks hosted Scout.com's third ranked tight end in the nation, Tony Moeaki, this past weekend on an official visit.

"It was a good visit," said Moeaki. "I gained a lot of information from the visit, and Oregon has a lot of nice bonuses. They are graduating their starting tight end after next season, and they need a guy to step in."

Moeaki, who previously had taken trips to BYU and Tennessee, will visit Iowa this coming weekend.

"It should be a good visit as I know they have a lot of their commitments coming in, as well, a lot of guys I've gotten to know during my recruitment," added Moeaki, a Scout.com US Army All-American selection. "Their starting tight end is graduating, and they need a guy to come in and be able help fill their rotation."

Right now, do not expect any other official visits to be taken.

"Notre Dame was the fifth school on my list, but that is no longer the case after the firing of Tyrone Willingham. It is down to these four schools, and I will make my decision at the earliest during halftime of the (Scout.com US Army) All-American game. Otherwise, it could come even after that."

Moeaki hosted coaches from Oregon, BYU, and Iowa on in-home visits last week, and will be doing so again this week. The Tennessee coaches are also scheduled to drop by for an in-home visit this week.
