Week 14 for NFL Ducks

Two former Duck teammates faced each other this Sunday in Week 13. The lowly Miami Dolphins (2-11) gave everything the Denver Broncos (8-5) could handle including A.J. Feeley's effort (17-35, 170 yards, one touchdown and one interception) but in the end it was Denver 20 and Miami 17. Bronco running back Reuben Droughns was pulled after fumbling twice and losing one of the balls, but returned to finish the day rushing for 62 yards on 18 carries. Droughns also had one kickoff return for 17 yards.

Joey Harrington and the Detroit Lions (5-8) ventured into Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers (8-5) on a cold, windy Sunday. The Lions took a 13-point lead into halftime but the Packers came back in the second half to beat the Lions 16-13. Harrington had a tough day throwing for 47 yards and one interception on 5-of-22 passing. Harrington also rushed for 29 yards on four carries.

The red-hot San Diego Chargers (10-3) won their 10th game of the season by beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-24. Chargers' tight end Justin Peelle had one reception for nine yards, but also lost a fumble. Peelle recorded one tackle on special teams. Defensive end Igor Olshansky had an assisted tackle in the Chargers' win. Tampa Bay's punter Josh Bidwell, had five punts, averaging 40.4 yards with one punt inside the 20 and a long of 51. Tampa Bay's record slips now to 5-8.

The San Francisco 49ers (2-11) beat the Arizona Cardinals, 31-28 and safety Keith Lewis had a tackle. The Cardinals are now 4-9 for the year.

A former tandem running back combination at Oregon were on opposite sides of the ball today when the Minnesota Vikings (7-6) lost to the Seattle Seahawks, 27-23. Minnesota's Onterrio Smith had a touchdown and 56 yards on 14 carries. Smith also had four receptions for 41 yards. Seattle's Maurice Morris carried the ball three carries for 13 yards. He also caught a pass for 12 yards and five kickoff returns for a 24.4-yard average and a long of 34. The Seahawks improve to 7-6.
