Trucks Takes Detour to Eugene

The Oregon Ducks have received a commitment from Anthony Trucks, a 6-1, 199 pound linebacker/wide receiver from Antioch, California. Trucks had originally committed to play football for Washington State, but then fell in love with Oregon.

According to the Contra Costa Times, he will play outside linebacker and H-back for the Ducks. "I loved WSU, but when I went to Oregon I thought it had everything I liked about Washington State and more," Trucks said. As a receiver, Trucks caught 27 passes for 442 yards and 4 touchdowns this season despite missing three games with a broken wrist. He was a first-team All-Bay Valley Athletic League selection and is also a standout in track. He chose Oregon over WSU and Nebraska.
