Signing Day at Last!

Oregon is expected to sign up to 25 student athletes tomorrow coming from high school and the junior college ranks. The class will be headed by the No. 1 running back in the nation, Jonathan Stewart out of Timberline High School in Olympia, Wash. Stewart, 5-10, 220 is a combination of speed and power, made a verbal commitment on Seattle's KING5-TV on Friday January 21st.

Oregon hit the jackpot with Jonathan Stewart when he opted for the Ducks over the Cougars of Washington State.

The Ducks expanded their recruiting territory by searching areas normally considered prime hunting grounds for the SEC conference. Brian Truelove, 6-2, 278, from Brockwood HS (Snellville, Ga.) was the quick to take up an offer to done the green and yellow of Oregon back in July of 2004. Tucker Callahan, 6-2, 206, Fairhope HS (Fairhope, Ala.) also will bring a Southern flavor to the Ducks this fall.

Along with Truelove and Callahan are recruits from Mississippi, Missouri, California, Washington, Hawaii and the state of Oregon.
