Randolph Announces For Oregon

The San Francisco Chronicle has discovered one of Oregon's quiet verbal commitments, offensive lineman Jermaine Randolph.

Randolph is a 6-5, 255 offensive tackle from Serra High School near San Mateo (CA) and was honored as a 1st Team All-West Catholic Athletic League selection. Jermaine is one of those late bloomers with a ton of upside potential that the Oregon coaches are famous for uncovering. Reports are that the Duck coaches love this kid's blocking skills and intend to develop him for the important left tackle position. His high school coach, Patrick Walsh, told Randolph before his senior season that he just needed to work on his confidence and then promised Jermaine that he would win a college scholarship. That prediction has come true.
