Ducks For David Dixon
Oregon is losing both starting corners from it's Fiesta Bowl Championship team and adding depth in the defensive backfield is likely the Duck's biggest immediate recruiting need for 2002. Enter David Dixon, a 5-11, 170, 4.52, cover corner, who was instrumental in leading his Palomar team to the junior college national championship game this year. Most opposing coaches avoided throwing against David, but those who dared were punished with 7 interceptions in ten games. Dixon is ranked as the #71 JUCO prospect in America by JC Football.com, rates 4-stars from the Alliance network, was named to the C.O.A. All-State team and 1st team All-Mission Conference-Central Division this year. He chose to sign with Oregonover San Diego State, LSU and Mississippi State.
