Love impressive in win

Kevin Love, the sensational sophomore center for the Lake Oswego Lakers had an easy time of it in the last regular season Three Rivers League game against the Milwaukie Mustangs. The Lakers downed the Mustangs 77-37 but the game wasn't really that close.

Love played only about half of the contest recording 16 points and 10 rebounds, but his presence caused a number of errant passes and easy turnovers leading to scores for Lake Oswego.

Along with his scoring, Love had four blocked shots, but no statistics were kept for altered shots and there were plenty of them. Love moved much easier tonight and clearly the injury problems he experienced earlier in the year are behind him as the 4A playoffs start next week.

Love's teammate, senior Bill Slade was the high point man for the game with 19 points. Dan Gancher and Paul Hubbard both had seven for Milwaukie.

Kevin is the son of former Oregon great Stan Love and is 5-star sophomore as rated by Scout.com.

Lake Oswego will at home to play next Wednesday against Redmond in the first round of the 4A playoffs.
