Marcus Maxwell was a two-year letterman for Oregon after transfering from Diablo Valley Junior College. Maxwell played in all 11 games last season and started in seven of those contests. He had 25 catches for 287 yards or a 11.5 yard per catch average and two touchdowns.
In 2003, Maxwell had 11 receptions for 114 yards and appeared in eight games.
On Saturday, offensive lineman Adam Snyder was also picked by the 49ers in the 3rd round.
