Ducks head south to wrap up season.

After sweeping both Washington schools in Pac-10 play last weekend, Oregon jumped to number 13 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches and the AP Polls. The Ducks completed a perfect season at home with a 90-84 win over Washington on Saturday night. The Ducks head south for the annual Los Angeles trip to finish off the regular season. Oregon leads the Pac-10 with a 20-7 season record and 12-4 in Pac-10 play.

Freddy Jones was spectacular in scoring 36-points against Washington. Against Washington State on Thursday night the Ducks had five players scoring in double figures and all players that entered the contest for the Ducks scored.

The conference lead can be determined on Thursday night as Oregon takes on second place USC. USC lost to Cal 83-64 on Saturday night. The night before USC had beaten Stanford 77-58. The Ducks hope to keep Sam Clancy off his season 18.9 points per game (ppg) and 9.8 rebounds per game. Brandon Granville is the second leading scorer for the Trojans at 12.8 ppg, David Blumenthal is scoring at a 12.2 ppg clip. Errick Craven is scoring 11.5 ppg.

Tip off for the Oregon-USC game is scheduled for 7:30 PM on Thursday night, February 28, 2002. The game will not be televised but the Oregon Sports Network will carry the radio broadcast. The game will be carried on the Internet from the Official Site or on Yahoo.
