Bayne suspended from team

EUGENE – University of Oregon redshirt freshman Devlin Bayne has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules, according to the Ducks' head football coach Mike Bellotti.

The Carlin, Nev., defensive end was set to begin his second year at Oregon this weekend after serving on the squad's scout team a year ago and has four years of eligibility remaining. He was recognized as one of the scout team's defensive players of the week prior to the Ducks' Sept. 18 loss at Oklahoma last season and was credited with two tackles in the annual Spring Game.

Bellotti said Bayne would delay reporting to fall camp until after Oregon's Sept. 1 season opener at Houston.
