Headed to a Big Game

Fort Collins (Colo.) offensive lineman Ian Wolfe (6-5, 270, 5.0) claims a recent offer from Kansas State to go along with previous rides from Oregon, Colorado State, Washington State, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

"Those six schools as well as Stanford (no offer) are my top ones right now," said Wolfe, from Fort Collins High School.

"I haven't set up any official visits yet, but I'm going out to CU (no offer) this weekend (9/3) for their game against Colorado State. Colorado hasn't offered me yet, but the coaches there gave me a ticket to see the game because they just want me to get out there.

"I took an unofficial visit out to Kansas State at the beginning of August and the staff there ended up offering me a couple of days later, so they're my most recent offer," he said.

"I get emails from the coaches at Stanford all of the time and they just want me to fill out an application for the school. I've been told that they're going to base their decision to offer me on that. As soon as I get it, I'm going to fill it out and send it right back.

"If Stanford were to offer me they'd be pretty high on my list, but right now all of these schools are pretty even," said Wolfe.

"But I've been a little bit excited on what Oregon has to offer lately. I really like the history of their program and I like the area and their facilities, but I've never been to the state. I just know what I've been able to see and hear about them.

"Right now I get a lot of mail from Stanford, Wyoming and Oregon, so those are the three teams that are recruiting me the hardest," he said.

Fort Collins High School faces Longmont in their first game of the season this Thursday (9/1).
