National Hot 100

The National Hot 100 features the nation's top 100 prospects for the Class of 2006. Here is version two and there were some changes made, as ten new players enter this elite list.

The National Hot 100 has been revised, as it will periodically throughout the course of the recruiting season for the Class of 2006. Although the top 12 prospects remained unchanged there was plenty of movement throughout the National Hot 100. Ten new prospects make their debut in this version and one prospect jumped into the Top 50 meaning he is now a five star. Let's take a closer look.

Safety Myron Rolle (Princeton, N.J.), the newest commitment for Florida State, is the top rated prospect. Rounding out the top ten are offensive lineman Andre Smith (Birmingham, Ala.), running back Chris Wells (Akron, Ohio), offensive lineman Steve Schilling (Bellevue, Wa.), linebacker Allen Bradford (Colton, Calif.), wide receivers Vidal Hazelton (Chatham, Va.) and Percy Harvin (Virgina Beach, Va.), offensive linemen Sam Young (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Ian Symonette (Houston, Texas), and defensive tackle Micah Johnson (Fort Campbell, Ky.).

Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy (Oklahoma City, Ok.) jumped up five spots from No. 18 to No. 13 while quarterback Matthew Stafford got bumped up 10 spots from No. 27 to No. 17. Wide receiver Jarred Fayson (Tampa, Fla.) moved into the five star range after jumping up eight spots from No. 56 to No. 48. The other prospects that remained in the Hot 100 moved up or down a spot or two.

OL/DL Kiante Tripp (Atlanta, Ga.), wide receiver Adron Tennell (Irving, Texas), cornerback Ryan Hill (Tallahassee, Fla.), defensive tackle Jason Pinkston (Pittsburgh, Pa.), OL/DL J.B. Walton (Indian Head, Md.), defensive lineman Jared Odrick (Lebanon, Pa.), safety Allen Walker (Olive Branch, Miss.), linebacker A.J. Jones (Tampa, Fla.), cornerback A.J. Wallace (Pomfret, Md.), and running back Carlos Brown (Franklin, Ga.) all jumped into this edition.

Wide receiver/ tight end Jeff Cumberland (Columbus, Ohio), linebackers Cobrani Mixon (Cincinnati, Ohio), Derrick Odom (Jackson, Miss.), Navarro Bowman (Forestville, Md.), and Jeremiha Hunter (Manheim, Pa.), cornerback Kurt Coleman (Clayton, Ohio), quarterbacks Justin Burke (Lexington, Ky.) and Pat Devlin (Downington, Pa.), defensive tackle Charles Deas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and defensive end Cody Williams (Longview, Texas) all dropped out of the Hot 100.
