Week 6 for NFL Ducks

A member of the 2001 Duck team that finished No. 2 nationally caught a touchdown pass today in Week 6 of the NFL season. The quarterback for that 2001 team still struggled as his professional team recorded another loss and former Duck running back labors in Cleveland.

Peelle finished the game with 3 catches for 20 yards and a touchdown. Peelle's teammate defensive end Igor Olshansky had 2 tackles. San Diego improved its record to 3-3 and the Raiders dropped to 1-4.

The Cleveland Browns (2-3) could only manage a field goal in their 16-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Browns' running back Reuben Droughns had 55 yards on 15 carries, and had a pass reception that resulted in a loss of 1. The Browns and Ravens now have identical season records of 2-3.

Wide receiver Samie Parker caught two passes for 25 yards for the Kansas City Chiefs (3-2) in a 28-21 win over the Washington Redskins (3-2). Chiefs' defensive tackle Junior Siavii played in the game.

The New England Patriots (3-3) resigned linebacker Wesly Mallard this week but still lost to the Denver Broncos 28-20. Mallard played in the game that improved the Broncos' record to 5-1.

Rashad Bauman was Not Active for the Cincinnati Bengals (5-1) when the Bengals defeated the Tennessee Titans, 31-23. Titan linebacker Peter Sirmon had four tackles. Tennessee is now 2-4 for the year.

The Miami Dolphins (2-3) lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-1) by a score of 27-13. Dolphins quarterback A.J. Feeley is listed as Not Active. Tampa Bay punter Josh Bidwell had 7 punts averaging 48.9 yards per punt, 5 inside the 20 and one punt of 61 yards.

George Wrighster started today for the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) in the 23-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2).

On Sunday Night Football, Seattle Seahawks' running back Maurice Morris rushed for 108 yards on 8 carries and a touchdown. The Seahawks (3-2) defeated the Houston Texans, 42-10. The Texans are now 0-4 for the year.

The woeful Detroit Lions (2-3) lost again today to the Carolina Panthers (4-2) by one point, 21-20. Lions' quarterback Joey Harrington had 201 yards on a 17-for-28 effort with no touchdowns and one interception. Harrington also fumbled twice and rushed for 12 yards on 3 carries.
