"Advance sales are going really well," said Hanks. "With the interest we've seen in the Pape' Jam to this point, it seems likely that we may not have tickets available the day of the game, which was the situation with the Kansas game in 2002. With that in mind, we're advising fans not to wait until the last minute to purchase their tickets."
Through Thursday, 10,000 tickets had already been sold for the college basketball doubleheader, which will feature Oregon and 2005 NCAA runnerup Illinois in a nationally televised contest Dec. 10 in the Rose Garden. The Duck women will face Prairie View A&M prior to the men's game.
The remaining tickets range in price from $10 to $25 and are available at the Rose Garden box office, all Ticketmaster locations, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com and via phone at 1-503-224-4400.
Oregon and Kansas played before a State of Oregon record crowd of 20,762 fans at the Rose Garden Dec. 7, 2002.
