Dorsey LB Likes Oregon

One of the top linebacker prospects in California this year is Jerome Johnson out of Dorsey High School in Los Angeles. The Ducks are interested and the feeling is mutual.

Jerome Johnson is a 6-0, 240, linebacker who had a very solid day at the recent Nike Camp at USC. He ran a 4.7 forty, 4.3 shuttle, pumped 185 pounds twenty-five times and added a 27" vertical jump. Jerome discovered that I cover Oregon sports for eDuck and approached me to say that he likes the Ducks a lot. Johnson also spoke highly of linebacker coach Don Pellum, who covers the Los Angeles area for Oregon and is recruiting Johnson.

Jerome recently told SuperPrep that the Ducks are recruiting him the hardest and they are currently the number one school among his favorites. His parents who love the academics and the environment that Oregon offers also share the sentiment. Johnson is also impressed by the football team's unprecedented success in recent years and will get a much closer look this summer when he attends the Duck summer football camp. His other current favorites include USC, Colorado, Michigan State and Tennessee.

Looks for further eDuck updates on Jerome Johnson when recruiting heats up this fall.
