Cody Kempt Profile
Kempt, 6-3, 205, 4.6, decided the University of Oregon was the best place for him to spend the next five years of his life and committed to the Oregon Ducks.
"I went down to the game yesterday," Kempt told eDuck.com. "After the game I went into the lockerroom and told Coach (Mike) Bellotti I want to commit to the Ducks."
The left handed quarterback has just finished the regular season and his team finished with 7-2 and will meet Tualatin High School next Friday in the first round of the 4A playoffs.
While the Eugene campus is just a little over a hundred miles away, it is close enough yet far enough away for Kempt's liking from his home in Portland. Cody is impressed with Oregon's School of Business and plans on majoring in that field.
Kempt chose Oregon over Colorado, Colorado State, Utah, Auburn, Arizona State, Idaho (offer) and Portland State (offer).
Cody plans on taking his official visit to Eugene on Civil War weekend (Nov. 19) when the Ducks play the Beavers of Oregon State.
