Week 12 for NFL Ducks

A former Duck running back is nearing the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the 2005 NFL season and added 78 more yards today, although his team lost. Another former Duck wide receiver was his team's leading pass catcher today in Week 12 of the NFL.

Droughns's 78 yards on 19 carries boosted his total for the year to 941 yards on 201 carries and two touchdowns. Although Droughns did not score today, he also had five catches for 46 yards. The Browns (4-7) lost to the Minnesota Vikings (6-5), 24-12.

Tennessee Titans linebacker Peter Sirmon had six tackles (two assists) in a 33-22 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Offensive lineman Adam Snyder started for the 49ers (2-9) and safety Keith Lewis played in the game. The win gives the Titans a 3-8 record for the season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) defeated the Arizona Cardinals (3-8) on Sunday by a score of 24-17. Tight end George Wrighster started for the Jags.

The San Diego Chargers improved their season record to 7-4 with a 23-17 overtime win over the Washington Redskins (5-6). Chargers defensive end Igor Olshansky had four tackles and his teammate tight end Justin Peelle played. Quarterback A.J. Feeley is still list on the Not Active list for San Diego. He has not played this year since being traded from Miami earlier in the year.

Cornerback Rashad Bauman recorded a tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals (8-3) in the 42-29 win over the Baltimore Ravens (3-8).

The Seattle Seahawks (9-2) won in overtime over the New York Giants (7-4), 24-21. Running back Maurice Morris played in the game for the Seahawks.

Punter Josh Bidwell had seven punts averaging 41.7 yards per punt with a long of 52 and two inside the 20 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-4) as the Bucs beat the Chicago Bears 13-10. Bidwell's teammate linebacker Wesly Mallard was on the Not Active list for the game. The loss dropped the Bears to 8-3 for the season.

Samie Parker was the leading receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs (7-4) with five catches for 76 yards as the Chiefs beat the New England Patriots, 26-16. Defensive tackle Junior Siavii participated in the game for the Chiefs. The loss drops the Patriots to 6-5.

On Thanksgiving Day, quarterback Joey Harrington started for the Detroit Lions but was pulled in the first half as the dismal Lions (4-7) lost to the Atlanta Falcons (7-4), 27-7. Harrington was 6-for-13 for 61 yards and one interception.
