Week 13 for NFL Ducks

A former Duck running back is the only bright spot of a team struggling to get better. Meanwhile, another ex-Duck receiver that made a name for himself in the Fiesta Bowl had four catches while his alma mater found out the Fiesta Bowl didn't want them.

Cleveland Browns running back Reuben Droughns (34) rumbles for 6 yards in the second quarter against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Sunday, Dec. 4, 2005, in Cleveland. The run put Droughns over the 1,000-yard mark for the season. (AP Photo/Tom Puskar)

Droughns rushed for a total of 88 yards on 30 carries in a rough outing as the Brown lost to the Jaguars, 20-14. Jags' tight end George Wrighster started. Cleveland is now 4-8 for the season while the Jaguars are 9-3.

The Tennessee Titans (3-9) lost to the perfect Indianapolis Colts (12-0) on Sunday, 35-3. Titans' linebacker Peter Sirmon had four tackles.

Josh Bidwell, punter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-4) had five punts with a 39.8-yard average with a long of 51 and one inside the 20 when the Bucs defeated the New Orleans Saints, 10-3. Tampa Bay's linebacker Wesly Mallard was on the participation list. The loss dropped New Orleans to 3-9 for the season.

The lowly San Francisco 49ers (2-10) continued to sink into the abyss as they lost to the nearly equally inept Arizona Cardinals (4-8), 17-10. One bright spot on the 49ers roster is offensive lineman Adam Snyder, who started. Teammate, safety Keith Lewis played, as did wide receiver Marcus Maxwell.

Joey Harrington wasn't booed today as the quarterback for the Detroit Lions (4-8). In fact a chorus of "Joey, Joey" was heard resonating from the confines of Ford Field. The Lions lost again to the Minnesota Vikings (7-5), 21-16. The new coach (whoever he is) must not have heard the cry from the crowd as Harrington stayed on the bench despite starting quarterback Jeff Garcia's 17-for-35, 126 yards and one interception performance.

The San Diego Chargers (8-4) continued their winning ways by beating the Oakland Raiders (4-8), 34-10. Chargers defensive end Igor Olshansky had a tackle. San Diego tight end Justin Peelle was on the participation list but quarterback A.J. Feeley was still listed on the Not Active list.

Cornerback Rashad Bauman contributed to the cause by recording three tackles in the Cincinnati Bengals (9-3) 38-31 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-5).

Wide receiver Samie Parker had four receptions for 39 yards in the Kansas City Chiefs (8-4) win over the 9-3 Denver Broncos, 31-27. Chiefs' defensive tackle Junior Siavii was on the participation list.

Tomorrow night, Maurice Morris and the Seattle Seahawks take on Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.
