The Perfect Fit

California defensive end Alex Parsons (6-4, 260, 4.8) will be visiting USC next weekend, December 16. "I love how they've had consecutive winning seasons," Parsons said. "The coaches are really doing a great job and I'm extremely impressed with how they've handled everything."

Parsons denies a leader, but favors USC, Arizona, Arizona State and Oregon. "Oregon has had a great season," Parsons said. "They are playing in the Holiday Bowl, which is nice and only lost one game. I also love the facilities there and I like the coaches a lot. They were by my house last week and I was really impressed by everything they said. They really sold me on Oregon."

He already visited Arizona on October 21. "They are definitely building and have put together some really good recruiting classes," Parsons said. "I expect them to be a lot better next year and be a top Pac 10 team within a few years."

Parsons also visited Kentucky on November 26, but they are not in his final four. "I really just wanted to see my brother play (his brother is defensive lineman B. Jay Parsons)," Parsons said. "He tells me to make sure I pick a school for the right reasons. I'll make my decision by the end of the month. USC will be my last visit. I need to make sure I fit in with the players and see if they are people I could hang out with and be friends with. If I'm going to live there and be with them all the time, I want to be sure I like them."

He finished his senior season with 104 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

He reports a 3.0 GPA and a 1370 SAT.
