Ducks win 52-50 in Pullman

The Oregon Ducks (10-8, 4-2 Pac-10) continued to show improvement with a 52-50 win over the Washington State Cougars (9-6, 2-4 Pac-10) at Pullman, Wash. on Thursday night. The win marked Oregon third consecutive victory in conference play. Malik Hairston hit a game winning 3-point shot with one second left in regulation play. Jordan Kent's 13 points and 12 rebounds paced the Ducks, while Hairston added 12. Aaron Brooks chipped in 10 in the Ducks' cause.

The Ducks shot 42 percent for the game on 21-of-50 field goal effort including 3-for-15 in 3-point shooting and 7-for-14 free throw shooting.

Josh Akogon's 18 points followed by Robbie Cowgill with 10 led Washington State scoring. Overall the Cougars were 19-for-43 in field goal shooting with 4-of-9 from 3-point range. The Cougars were 8-of-14 in free throw shooting.

Oregon out rebounded Washington State 39 to 22 and was particularly effective on the offensive boards clearing 16 offensive boards to WSU's four offensive rebounds.
