Kyle Hanna Profile

"Colorado has been recruiting me the hardest," Hanna said. "I've talked with Coach Brian Cabral a lot. We've been talking about how they can see me fitting in on their line. I really like the program and think it's only going to get better. They also send me stuff all the time. If anything, I think my first offer will definitely come from them. I haven't been to the campus, but I've heard only great things about it. I plan on taking an official visit up there as soon as I can.

"I like USC a lot. I really like Pete Carroll's coaching style. He's down-to-earth, but means business at the same time. I have gotten e-mails and letters from them. They want to make sure I'm going to take my SAT this May. I'm going to their junior day this Sunday (4/2). I really want to talk with the linebacker coach and just get an overall feeling for the program. Hopefully, I can come away with learning some new things.

"Oregon has been writing me a lot too," Hanna said. "I've liked them ever since I was a little kid. I get lots of e-mails from them asking me to call them, but I haven't yet. They have such a strong program and I like the coaches a lot. I really don't know much about the school, but I've seen pictures of their facilities and they look really nice. They've invited me to their camp this summer. I really want to go up there and check things out.

"I like UCLA a lot too," Hanna said. "I went to the Adidas combine there last year and got to meet some of the players and coaches. They showed some interest in me. In fact, I just got I letter from them today. I definitely want to take a visit there, maybe over spring break. I'm not sure yet."

Hanna said distance is not a factor for him or his family. "My parents didn't go to college, so they are just happy for me to go…no matter where.

"I'm going to the Nike combine on April 15. I'm not sure about the Scout.com combine yet," Hanna said. "My strengths are my quick feet and reading the plays. I like to hit hard too. I want to work on getting faster and refining my techniques of taking on blocks."

Final junior (11-2) stats: 142 tackles/3 sacks/2 fumbles—All-League Champs.

Hanna reports a 3.7 core GPA/21 ACT/May first time SAT.
